About the Event
As we peel back the layers of our relationship to sisterhood, many of us find that fear, anxiety, shame and disappointment are exposed. We may have experienced hurt, betrayal or trauma with a female friend or family member. We may have received messages that women are competitive, catty and not to be trusted. With this kind of baggage, it's no wonder we struggle to create deep and meaningful relationships with women in our personal and professional lives.
In the session, we'll be talking with Ssanyu Birigwa, Bone Healer Shaman and Narrative Medicine MS, about how we can reflect on our own personal narratives, heal from past hurts and develop more authentic friendships with one another. We'll be exploring how race issues play a role, why they keep us from rising together and what we can do to begin healing the divide.
Ssanyu will be sharing powerful ways that we can stay spiritually grounded as we navigate the challenges we face in our relationships and world.
She'll be leading us through the transformative practices of Shamanic breathing, to clear and release, and meditation, to embody what we know we are to the root: “You are love, you are grace, you are compassion in action”.
